The Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF) at U-Mass Dartmouth will focus on “Resilience”, the ability of an organization to recover quickly from a negative event or outcome, on Thursday, October 14, 7:30-9:00 a.m., at the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Dr. Angappa Gunasekaran, Director of the Business Innovation Research Center, will present his key on survey results from 34 small and medium sized enterprises (SME) on the Southcoast of Massachusetts, and will include key characteristics of highly resilient firms as well as barriers to resiliency. It will be hosted by the Business Innovation Research Center (BIRC) at the Charlton College of Business.

Representatives of two “resilient” firms who participated in the survey will also make presentations. They will share significant challenges they faced to resiliency as well as key external and internal factors that enhance their firm's resiliency in today's turbulent business climate.

Become a 2010-11 member of SNEEF at UMass Dartmouth for only $75, and attend the forum free. Event non-member cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the door, which includes light supper. Register at www.sneef.umassd.edu.
